Currently, we are
experiencing record low temperatures in New England. North/western wind is
creating an arctic wind chill.
In the picture below you see the Queen Mary II as she was docked in New York, 01/03/2014. That was the day we had originally planned to leave. We are really glad not to be on that cruise and hope by May 2014 the ground hog has declared "ice out" for our crossing.

Germany measures high 30th to
mid-40 degrees and that sounds like a heat wave to us.
We are following the weather
pattern in northern Germany since some time it seems most of the time
considerably warmer than in New England. Hopefully this trend will continue.
